Breandán Ó Conchúir is an authority on the verse of eighteenth-century Munster. Formerly Professor of Modern Irish in University College, Cork, his publications include Scríobhaithe Chorcaí 1700–1850 (1982), Corraghliocas na mBan (1991) and Clár Lámhscríbhinní Gaeilge Choláiste Ollscoile Chorcaí: Cnuasach Uí Mhurchú (1991).
