Aogán Ó Rathaille
This is the first readers’ edition of the work of Aogán Ó Rathaille (1670–1728), the foremost poet of early modern Ireland. Breandán Ó Buachalla (1936–2010) was the leading authority on the literature of early-modern Ireland. His other books include An Caoine agus an Chaointeoireacht (1998), Aisling Ghéar (1996) and I mBéal Feirste Cois Cuain (1968, 1978). He was the O’Donnell Chair in Irish Language and Literature at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana.
