Welcome to the website of Field Day, Ireland’s famous theatre and Irish studies publishing company founded in 1980 in Derry by playwright Brian Friel and actor Stephen Rea, who were then joined by co-directors Seamus Heaney, Seamus Deane, Tom Paulin, Davy Hammond, and Tom Kilroy.
On this site you can buy recent books and play programmes, or you can choose from the backlist, which includes rare editions of Seamus Heaney’s Field Day books.
